IEB: MT5 execution, automation and risk

DEVELOPMENT

InstitutionalEdge runs on Windows next to MetaTrader 5. It produces the signals, keeps their record, and - only if you want it to - executes them on your own account with your own risk settings.

It is not sold at the moment. We are first building a public record of its signals and their results; we will not claim an accuracy until that record supports it.

Signal modules
Rule-based modules that each produce a direction, entry, stop and target. Each module has a version, so a signal made by one version is never mixed up with the next.
Signal record
Every signal is written down before its result is known, then its outcome: target, stop or the module's own exit - wins and losses alike.
Historical Outcome Rate
The share of a module's earlier signals that reached the target before the stop, shown with how many signals it is based on - or "insufficient sample" until the module has enough history.
Execution is separate
What a signal is worth before costs is measured apart from what it costs to trade. Your broker, spread, commission and risk are your settings, not ours.

Modes

LIVE here means running in IEB on our own demo accounts today; the customer version of every mode is in development.

Signal modeLIVE
Signals are generated and recorded; nothing is executed.
Automated modeLIVE
Signals executed on MT5 by the module's rules, under account-level risk limits.
Assisted modeDEVELOPMENT
Signal, position size and risk for your account - you decide and execute.
Protected automationDEVELOPMENT
Automation combined with your own risk settings and prop-firm rules (Prop Guard).
IEB signals are published on Telegram before their results are known - wins and losses kept.Join the IEB Telegram →

MT5 automation and Prop Guard

Optional layers for MetaTrader 5 on Windows: act on signals automatically if you want to, and protect the account whether you trade our signals, your own ideas or both. What the first version is planned to do:

  • ✦Take a signal yourself, semi-automatically or fully automatically - you choose, per signal or per module.
  • ✦Automation follows your own settings: risk per trade, broker, trading hours and your prop firm's rules.
  • ✦Every order it sends is checked first against your risk and prop rules. If a trade would break them, it tells you why instead of sending it.
  • ✦Live distance to your daily and overall loss limits, with warnings; only if you switch it on, it closes positions that would cross a limit.
  • ✦Position size from your broker's symbol specification, and a journal of every trade with the account state at the time.

Nothing is automatic unless you turn it on. Beta testers use it free during the beta. Tell us your prop firm so we build its rules first.

The Trading Copilot has its own signals today; showing the engine's signals there is the next step. Checking a prop challenge? Try the free Prop Challenge Calculator.
